Plain-language terms for buying and using Satinsmith. Nothing is for sale yet — purchasing opens at version 1.0, and everything below takes effect then. Questions: support@tempore.net.
If something is wrong in the first 30 days after you buy, tell us. We will try to put it right and consider offering a 100% refund if you are unhappy or have an issue we cannot resolve.
We want to be exact about this, because refund wording is often vague. It is not an automatic no-questions-asked refund. We would rather fix the problem than process a return, so we will ask what went wrong and try to solve it first. Refund requests are considered individually under our satisfaction guarantee. The checkout shows the same terms before you pay.
The free tier exists so you do not have to take that on trust: it opens your own files, previews them and exports up to five designs a month, for as long as you like, without paying anything. Try your real files before you buy.
Designs you open that were made by someone else keep whatever rights came with them. Satinsmith does not grant you permission to edit, resell or redistribute a design you bought from another designer; that is between you and whoever sold it.
Purchases are handled by Freemius as Merchant of Record. They collect payment and tax details and issue your receipt under their own privacy policy; we never see or store card numbers. Refunds are executed by Freemius, but the decision is ours, and the commitment above is ours to keep.
Some regions give buyers a statutory cooling-off right that applies regardless of a seller's policy. Nothing here removes a right you have by law.
A refunded or cancelled Freemius licence returns to the free tier when the app learns of its changed status. Cached paid access is limited to seven days after the last successful validation. Legacy offline keys use a revocation list distributed with app updates. Your saved design files are not deleted.
Satinsmith is software for preparing embroidery, not a guarantee of a good sew-out. Whether a design stitches well depends on your machine, stabiliser, thread, fabric and hooping. Opening a file does not mean it will sew correctly on your machine. Always check hoop size, review the preview, and test on scrap fabric before stitching a final piece.
Format support varies by format and version, and is still under development. Test your own files in the free tier before depending on a workflow.
